The Printing Sector has over 3,500 employees and 13 state-of-the-art print plants.About this opportunity The General Labourer will be responsible for assisting in different departments as needed, such as helping Machine Operators in various departments, or assisting the Fulfillment department to pick and pack items for shipment based on customers needs. Shift: All shifts available Hours: 40 hours per week, plus opportunities for overtimeRate: $15.50/hourLocation: 275 Wellington Street East, Aurora, ON What you will do
- Light labour in a manufacturing environment may include:
- sorting, counting, and packaging;
- assisting machine operators with various tasks;
- Work as part of a team and assist various departments as needed;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards;
- Perform all other duties as requested and be available to work overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
- Exceptional attention to detail and good command of the English language (read, write, speak) with respect to:
- understanding and following all verbal and written instructions;
- completing paperwork and requisitioning of materials accurately and efficiently;
- complying with safety procedures and processes;
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills;
- Strong problem solving, analytical and perception to analyze information;
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things;
- Physical ability to lift minimum 30lbs unassisted;
- Available to work overtime as required.
